Membership & Auxiliaries

Assistance League® of Orange is an all volunteer, nonprofit organization dedicated to providing services to local men, women and children in need within our community. Membership, including members of our three auxiliaries, totals nearly 370.  We have volunteer opportunities that will meet the needs of most prospective members and hope you will consider joining our Chapter or one of our Auxiliaries.

 members manage numerous philanthropic programs.
Members come together with varied talents, backgrounds, abilities and interests, usually during daytime hours for meetings and volunteer work. Meetings are normally held on the first Friday morning of each month at 9:30a.m. and include brunch or lunch.   The Philanthropic Alternatives Committee is comprised of individuals who find evenings more conducive to their volunteer efforts.  They meet and work their philanthropic programs in the evening or weekends.

Assisteens® Auxiliary is composed of 7th-12th grade students.  Each teen dedicates at least 30 hours per year toward philanthropic programs, working in our Thrift Shop and helping with fundraising to support their programs. The members attend monthly meetings normally held on the fourth Monday evening of the month.  Assisteens gain job experience while working in the Thrift Shop and develop leadership skills while chairing their various programs.
